CCB #147223 I specialize in remodeling with an emphasis on interior and exterior finish carpentry. This includes window replacement, kitchen and bath renovations, closet packages, tongue and groove ceilings, minor framing and siding, minor fencing and fence repairs as well as complete deck and rail packages.

I began in construction in the late 1990's after moving back to Bend from the Portland area. Working for a finish carpenter until 2004, I learned all that I could about residential construction. Paying special attention to which sub contractors did the best work in a timely fashion. I also spent time back in Portland doing finish carpentry and decks for one of my best friends and "building guru", Todd Good. Todd is a builder of custom homes in the 500 to 700k range. He and I trade helping each other when we need and can.

Decks and Rails
General Contractor/Builder Todd Good and I have been constructing and remodeling decks in Portland and Bend for years. We work with homeowners to design outdoor recreational spaces accommodating all the typical needs: hot tubs, grills, patio furniture, and landscaping constraints, as well as desires: shapes, levels, materials, rail styles, even taking into account sun and shade angles. Planter boxes and benches can also be added to spruce up any deck. We can remodel existing decks which may be rotting, may have structural issues, or may need complete removal. New decks can take the place of problem landscaping or cover up unsightly concrete patios.

Patio covers, Awnings, Pergola's, Trellis', and Foyers are all functionally satisfying way's of enhancing a deck, paver patio, or entrance. We can design almost anything you can think up. Finish Carpentry
My roots in construction began with interior finish carpentry. I worked for a skilled and talented carpenter named Gary O'Grady. Installing case and base in high end homes throughout the Central Oregon area during the pre-recession building boom. I learned the importance of hanging doors correctly regardless of framing issues. I learn that carpentry often demands patiences in order to obtain perfection.

Closet Packages
Creating a highly functional closet design is one of my favorite parts of construction. Before anything is built, we discuss and take into account important variables in your life...such as how many shoes you own. We divide long and short hanging spaces according to your needs. Each closet is custom built to fit the space availiable, maximizing function. Whether its a single shelf and pole inside an entry coat closet, or a master closet the size of a small bedroom, we will work with your every need. Click the pic to view some idea's.

Window Replacement
Energy loss through window inefficiency taxes owners of older homes every year. Swapping out a metal frame window with a quality vinyl framed low-E window is surpisingly affordable. Lots of homeowners will coordinate window replacement with siding upgrades and exterior house paint. There are tax incentives and credits availiable. Learn more about it here.

Siding Replacement
Curb appeal is just one reason to replace siding. Failing "LP" lap siding or water damaged T1-11 can contribute to mold developement and a musty smell inside and out. This picture shows three different siding options. Click the pic to learn more about options and changes in the code.

Sheds and Fencing
Sheds are just small houses, right? I also believe that a shed should not devalue your property. As with closet packages, shed design can be very personalized. We've got a few fences under our belt as well.
